we send people to Hanoi for processing. We tell them to send visa pictures on arrival then they are free to go where ever they want except Thailand and we have yet to have even one issue or rejection. It doesn’t say anywhere on the website that you must stay in place while waiting for approval. Why would it even matter it makes no sense but you seem very determined to be right. I read posts in this group all the time and it’s mostly just people over complicating a very simple process. I don’t solicit business or try to make money off anyone in this group I just help answer questions when I can.

it says you must provide proof of location for application it says nothing about staying in place to wait for approval.

I guess but we own a visa service and have been doing 3-4 of these a week for the past year and have yet to have even one person get called in for an interview. Why would Thailand care where you are while outside of Thailand?

I just met a guy that applied for his DTV while in Pattaya and just selected Los Angeles on the website he had his PDF in 12 hours then flew to Malaysia and back to get stamped.

no, but my wife owns a visa service here in Thailand and they do these a few times a week so they are pretty good at getting it right the first time. Nearly everyone I know that has done it on their own had to submit more documents 2,3,4 times….

Did mine in Hanoi last month. We submitted the application on Monday I was approved Friday and home Saturday afternoon.

Have you been living under a rock? This has been in the news for months. Just go in and close your account and move on with your life BBK isn’t friendly to foreigners anymore.

yea but im not risking it I pulled all my money yesterday had a safe installed this morning I’m my own Thai bank now at least until we know for sure who’s accounts are getting locked.
