Ray Low-On that's a good question, im not sure if ur able to upload all the required docs, so I'm gonna guess no, when u try it, they usually come back with an email within 24hrs saying "DENIED, PLEASE ATTEND IMMIGRATION"

1 thing to note online guys, the 7 days after date doesn't apply, but worst than that, on the day is also too late, ie if your report date is 20th march, you must do online no later than 19th, on 20th it will be refused 😡

Its a very small gamble, as long as you got that return flight u r probably ok, if not this will reduce your odds. My advice is stop loving Thailand so much and broaden your horizons 😜🤣

If it's your 2nd report u can do it on line, it only takes a few minutes. But u must do your 1st report in person

Valentin Scharf one problem mate, for some stupid reason people are saying to fill out TDAC within 3 days of arriving, this is bad English, that would imply you could do it once you've arrived,l. You must go online and fill it out within 3 day of your ARRIVAL date, I know it sounds like I'm being pedantic, but I'm really not, and if you already understood correctly, that's great!

Robert Harrington yes having lived here under both regimens, the retirement is far more straight forward, for the sake of an additional £10k stuck in a thai bank account, i know which way i would go

Why do people assume they can apply for permanent residency, it's almost nonexistent unless you're investing millions into Thailand

Stephen Whittle really, i gotta say it, I can't help myself 🤣, have you been living under a rock? This has been a rule forever, and there is much in the news right now about the new measures the uk government will go to to catch you, like robots monitoring your account for patterns, so really not worth cheating the system.

Is it fair? 100% not, a state pension is not a benefit, it's a savings plan, money we have put in, then on top of this, we are no longer a burden on the NHS, si if anything we should get larger increases 😱

Just keep an address in UK, most banks don't force you to close, as long as account is active and they have a registered address, i lived here 11yrs and had zero problem holding a number of accounts and even a credit card. Now a year into my 2nd escape and still no problem.
