I was denied boarding many times by airlines if I didn't show an onward flight leaving Thailand before expiry of the 60 day visa free period. Your 90 day return has nothing to do with your first entry because you haven't got the 30 day extension yet. Keep it safe and simple, one day before you fly, book a Thai Airways flight leaving Thailand for a cheap destination (like Singapore) for a date around 58-60 days then select the Hold Option for 72 hrs for 350 baht or select pay at counter and then your reserved ticket will expire AFTER you arrive in Thailand.

Kind of depends on your situation but if return by air and stay out for at least a day or two then you are just a tourist. The land border visa runs will get you into trouble after doing 2 consecutive runs. Show details of your living arrangements for the 60 days and they should just ignore you as they really want tourism numbers higher. Don't look like a backpacker by booking cheap hostels and they will respect you more. 😎

No need to inform UK that you are moving, as it causes too many headaches especially as you try to return after being gone, for a while you won't even have access to the NHS. Just get a forwarding address for any item you need forwarded and keep your UK address. Also UK banks are picky about not having a UK address. Don't close any bank accounts as you can use them while abroad.

1. Got good cash reserves, steady income, like going to islands, long term wifey type girlfriends, owning and driving your own car, cook your own food, solo introvert type without needing anyone, prefer speaking only English = Philippines 😎

2. No steady income (maybe like hustle or work), no big cash reserves, short term girlfriends, prefer public transport to driving, prefer eating out to cooking, extrovert like interacting with people, speak more than one language = Thailand 😎

Simply stated the Philippines is 10 years behind Thailand economically but Thailand is 10 years behind the Philippines politically.

Exact same Apple 14' MacBook Pro M3 Max 36GB 1TB prices:

Thailand (122,000 baht = £2774)

Philippines (202,000 php = £2774)

UK (£3299)

USA ($3199 = £2452)

You need to go to Special Police Division in Bangkok to do Clearance. Then get it certified by immigration office on Chaengwattana. Next go to Ireland Embassy in Bangkok and get that stamped/ certified. Lot of steps but it's the only sure way to prove authentic documentation because Khao San Rd does nice looking fakes of all certificates so Ireland won't accept if not stamped by Ireland official in Thailand.

Congratulations 👏 You might want to quickly get a Thai tax accountant as I have seen 'internal Thai memos' saying that within a year, they will use the proof of income to hit you with a 25% tax (100,000b) on the 400,000 baht. So that's their ultimate goal. 😎

Best option is to fly out of Thailand then return with a Tourist 60 day stamp. No border run because they treat those differently. Stay at least one day out of Thailand day then return tell immigration you will do a new visa type later. It's more expensive but it's better because they will give you a new tourist visa and then need to do a new Non B visa once school sorts out their process. I've seen guys try go Laos with Non B but then they ask for loads of stuff and it's much better to just leave Thailand, which cancels your Non B, and start over. As long as she doesn't have a work permit and extended visa then she's ok. Singapore has got 8k return flights or try Malaysia or anywhere. 😎

You're 800k will need to have sat in Thai bank account for at least 2 months, prior to application, you also need a validated stamped bank certificate from the bank certifying the money has been there and this letter must be the same day as you apply in person. Monthly income is irrelevant as long as you have the 800k details. Next you need Blue Book (book baan) showing your wife's home and it will have a reference (in Thai) on it that states you live there too. News rules (since June 2024) also state you need photo of the house showing outside, inside rooms and a selfie style picture of you standing outside the house. Thai immigration has gotten very strict about the address.

You mentioned daughters, so if you are married to Thai then I would suggest doing Non O Married visa vs Retirement visa as they are money requirements are only 400k not 800k and they are much more lenient on marriage visa applications. 😎

Book ticket through Thai Airways at least 72 hours before your flight and use their Hold Ticket for 72hrs option. That way you get a non confirmed booking that you can show if asked at immigration counter upon arrival. Alternatively, you could book a fully refundable return ticket and cancel later. Your problem won't be immigration at Thailand but some airlines are strict and at check-in will ask to see return or onward flight leaving Thailand within the 60 days. 😎
