What are some embarrassing mistakes foreigners make in Thailand that others should avoid?

Not a 'red faced' moment, but i recommend wearing a helmet when you rent a scooter.

The traffic police pull farangs, never Thais.

Only cost 500 baht but is was a bit of a hassle, luckily my Thai girlfriend sorted it.

And we got helmets next day.

I am also going to move to Thailand later this year.

My Thai girlfriend lives in Khon Kaen, it's easy travelling distance to Chiang Mai and Pattaya.
