Just book a fully refundable flexible air ticket out of Bangkok (with minimal cancellation admin fees), or check if any airline flying out of Bangkok (eg those US airlines) which allows free cancellation within first 24 hours of booking, then make a dummy booking a few hours before u board your AMS flight to Bangkok, and cancel that dummy booking for free once u got your boarding pass to Bangkok
the exact situation is like this… when I applied for the extension on 25 Apr (visa expiring on 5 May), they stamped the 30 days consideration to report in person on 25 May… then when I reported on 25 May, they stamped the new exit date to be 4 July, so it seems a full 60 days extension from the original visa expiry date rather than the application date now
I just got my Covid extension at Bangkok Laksi… seems they added the 60 days from my original 30days of visa exempt expiry date day rather than the extension application date… is this the new rule now? Just to make sure they don’t accidentally stamp the wrong date or I may run into troubles when I exit the country 🙂
do I need to go back to the same office after the 30 days consideration? I did it at IT Square BKK yesterday and got the under consideration stamp and I got to report in person again on 25 May… but I want to travel to Phuket instead of staying in Bangkok.. can I report to the Phuket immigration office on 25 May instead of Bangkok?
