ofcourse it can be done and many people have already. Just saying it’s supposed to not be allowed 😂 but an immigration officer said np. They just make it up as they go along.

I mean it’s clearly not the rule or anything along those lines. And also yes you cannot apply while in Thailand so would negate any possible concern for that

except these are not the rules, and the poster could have simply read the consulates application process or searched the thread and come to the conclusion that it can be a bank account anywhere in the world with any type of currency. But yes many other rules are broken 😂

clearly you don’t, especially BKK bank can open with any visa as long as you have residency form

update. They approved all those documents but then asked for bank balance of $17,000 usd as I guess USD has gone down vs the Baht since application was submitted.
