After 16 years in phuket the most cost effective way to use pounds in thailand is to bring lots of sterling back to thailand when you visit the UK then exchange in Central Festival for thb. I worked out i was getting about 6-8% more for my sterling that way. No 220thb atm fee and you avoid poor exchsnge rates from the banks to. Ive tried lots of ways and thats by far the most cost effective way

no worries. Its worked out as ive booked a better timed flight at a similar cost just annoyed as i wish id done that in April !

long haul, london to bangkok. They were a good price but within a week of booking in April the schedule had changed then 3 more times after. Finally cancelled yesterday with no offer of a flight change. I checked on their website and there are no otherflights anywhere near the date i was flying and to be honest, after this i wouldnt trust the alternative flight either. Cost a lot of money as ive already booked connecting flights and buses etc. Lesson learnt. Ive found plenty of others who have had similar
