BUT as i stated there is no requirement he needs get 15 months< he can apply for the 1 year extension when the visa is down to its last 30 days of validity and save the hassle of doing a border run

If you have a NON O visa, and you have 400,000 in the bank go to immigration and get a 1 year extension.

NO need to leave country!!

you can get a re entry at any immigration office or any international airport>

NOT at land border immigrations

just rock up and pay $40 on arrival, simple and easy
