I have a 1-year multiple entry Non-O visa based on marriage to my Thai wife that I purchased in Australia which expires in July.
I have searched how to get 15 months on this page but came up with many different answers and as I'm in a wheelchair and really need a correct answer as travelling around isn't easy.
So my question is if it expires next month the 2nd of July when should I do my border run to Sawannaket to get the 15 months out of my visa and are the Immi agents at Mukdahan okay with us doing this ? Rather be sure ๐ Tia

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a 1-year multiple entry Non-O visa based on marriage that expires on the 2nd of July and is seeking advice on when to perform a border run to obtain an additional 15 months on their visa. Multiple commenters suggest performing the border run just before the expiry date to receive another 90 days, while others discuss options for extending the visa in Thailand without leaving the country.

Yeah but that method is painful. Your wife has to take a day off work, immigration wants to see pictures of every room in your house invading your privacy then they even come for a visit. I hear they even interview neighbors, which can be embarrassing if you don't know them (except in the villages, Thais normally keep to themselves). Then you have the 90 day reporting.
With the 12 month non O you have none of that drama.
Ok you do have to either leave every 90 days or get a 60 day visit wife extension. It works out for most who aren't too old and don't like traveling and if you live reasonably close to a land border its far less painful to cross a border than dealing with immigration in country.
Yes he does for his multiple-entry Non-O which requires him to leave every 90 days to re-enter (he's not on a 12m extension but a 12m visa, not the same)
BUT as i stated there is no requirement he needs get 15 months< he can apply for the 1 year extension when the visa is down to its last 30 days of validity and save the hassle of doing a border run
yes. I could but chosing to get a new one in country in 3 months time when I have 12 months of bank statements here of my pension going in my bank from Australia.
my Non O marriage Visa purchased in Australia makes me border bounce every 90 days untill it ends. Can't do a normal 90 day report in country with this one
You can go to any border crossing, leave and re-enter before or on the 2nd July and you'll be stamped in for another 90 days, you can also get a 60 days visit Thai dependents extention taking you up to around 17 months from that visa.

You do a border bounce just before the expiry date in July to get stamped in for another 90 days
