if you only saw the Hoops you have to jump through to get a visa to the US you will never go there. But somehow they want every other country to make it very easy for them

Also if you're talking hoops look at what you have to go through to get a US visa and all the questions you have to answer including giving them all your social media accounts.

If you're a transit passenger you don't need anything else. Just check with the airlines. We flew through Tokyo several times and they only care about the rules in your final country

So I had to fill out a TM7 for the one year retirement and show bank book and bank letter showing the balance. Since I got the pass book updated by the bank and got the letter same day I didn't need to go to the atm to make a withdrawal and update bank book. The volunteers outside are very helpful too.

There were very few people at 2:30 pm in Chiang Mai immigration office.. it took just 15 mins to get the one year retirement. Thanks everyone
