Well, the idiot is recommending that you use your brain next time to avoid overstaying and to understand the law. Even if you had a terrible accident (your excuse), hospitals have services to deal with that. But sure it’s much easier for you to whinge about it than to actually do something...

“Keep the overstay minimal, and you shouldn’t have a problem!" What’s that then? You’re basically telling everyone that overstaying is fine… yes, until it isn’t. And don’t forget there are other people here who are coming for advice. Overstaying is an offense under Thai law whether you're grown enough to understand it or not.

Does that matter? Most people here are telling you the same thing...

Anonymous participant 727 Okay, in that sense, I do agree. That said, I’m not sure that accumulating multiple “short” overstays is a good thing. But some might read it as if any overstay length is fine. Well, yes it’s not that risky up to 90 days.

Correct. And beyond 90 days, that's a 1 year ban minimum even surrendering at the border...

Anonymous participant 727 “Overstaying ANY amount of time is best avoided, nowhere serious". Beyond 90 days, it results in a one-year ban or more. If you’re caught on the street, it could be a five-year ban or more regardless of the length of the overstay. You seem very judgmental for someone who has no clue...

And you have the entitled persons who believe Thai law doesn’t apply to them, brag about it and give risky advice to others...

"That is, for me and those at BKK airport immigration, not true." First of all, you will probably not see your visa canceled (for 4 days and no previous offense), but you may be refused at the border later, as this will remain in your profile and immigration history. Secondly, you may have no issues while others do; don’t turn your personal experience into a general rule. Thailand doesn’t work that way. So "keep your overstay minimal", no keep it non-existent.
