Thanks both. A couple of comments/ questions... we currently have a property in UK. If applying via UK embassy but not returning to UK, would this be known as you don't get a UK entry or exit stamp as a passport holder anyway? The Vietnam visa option is perfectly viable for him, but online sources say you need a temporary or permanent residency permit which is not possible. Any advice on this much appreciated.
