If you're coming, read your insurance's fine print. In general....

You'd need to have purchased travel insurance prior to 21st January to have cover COVID-19. Notwithstanding, some policies prior to this date have pandemic clauses. Even if you're coveted, failure to follow DFAT advice renders policies void. Also, general travel insurance policies do not cover working.

These are clauses in my World Nomads policy.

Is it true that in Vientiane you need to make an appointment? My son called Immigration Dept in Chanwattana and they said no appointment in Vientiane consulate is necessary.

I see you are from Melbourne. I didn't know Aussies could get a 6 month tourist visa. My son is here on 60 day + 1 month extension. We're off to Vientiane to get him another 60 day visa next week. I'm interested in how you can get a 6 month tourist visa.
