Just curious.....for someone who had long term visa (acct opened with) but switch to DTV....what will happen?

the nonO is already in the passport and thai driving licence is a gov issued document that have your address in it and the bank staff recognizes that....so whats your problem?

its still very possible without agents....I opened one with SCB with my nonO and thai driving licence (noting else)

No agents needed if you follow the recommended route....firstly apply for a nonO visa(>50) in your home country....fly to thailand and get a permanent place to stay(lease agreement) ....now u can try to open a bank acct with nonO and lease agreement (kbank/SCB) try as many branch as possible......if still fails go to immigration office and get a residency certificate and a letter from immigration stating u need a bank acct for your extensions.....good luck you will definitely get a bank acct if u try hard enough Or u might be lucky and get it on first try....Cheers

Apply nonO (doesnt require insurance) fly to thailand and get local insurance
