Hello, I am a 33 year old Norwegian. My father has lived in Thailand for 12 years, he is in the hospital, and has been for 4 months. To me it would seem he will be staying for a long time.

I have to stay here and be financially responsible for him. Is there any emergency medical visas? I've tried asking at the local immigration, but no one understood English. Is the border run to Laos or Cambodia for a 3 month visa my most reliable way?
