Having just done a border bounce via mukdahan to Laos I contacted my local immigration office in Kamphaengphet via their Line app and asked if I should go in to register TM30 again, just had reply after a couple of days to say to go into their office again, I registered with them a few days after my first arrival in December, I’ve been to Kamphaengphet immigration a few times, it’s a newish big office usually very quiet beside the AH1 highway,.
30 day extension done at Kamphaengphet Immigration takes me through to 4th July and flight home to uk,. they even waived the fine for me failing to report going to Nong Kai for a border bounce, and being away from my residence here for 5 days and not reporting,. So that’s me, 222 days in thailand,. Had a good run and no issues (except for Mae sot being closed for border bounces) and having to drive across to Nong Kai to do the bounce,.No questions asked at Kamphaengphet immigration except for why did I come in so early for extension, I said if it’s a problem I will come back next week, but apart from that it’s a really good modern friendly efficient office, and very quiete (only person there was me) you can contact them on the Line app to if you have any questions ,. In and out in 45 mins,.Happy days,.
Went to Kamphaengphet Immigration and what a pleasant surprise it was, pretty much a brand new site, and extremely helpful staff, went armed with 2x photos/photo copies of passport pages/60 day tr evisa/ they didn’t want my copies and did it themselves and only took one of of my passport photographs, luckily I had my Thai g/f with me and the accommodation /place of stay question was sorted, had to pay 1000 bht along with the 1900 bht,. Not 100% sure what the extra 1000 bht was for ?,. I’ve been in loads of hotels over the last 50 days, and been staying at g/fs house on and off over the last few weeks, went in at 2.30 pm and came out at 3.30 pm,. All done, very quiete only about 8/10 people plus me and one more “ Farrang”,. Brilliant main man immigration officer, very nice man and all his staff members great to, . Lucky to be close to this office,.
