Just sharing our experience entering Thailand with DTV:
My partner and I entered through BKK yesterday morning. For me it was the 5th time entering on my DTV, for my partner the 1st time. We both had our visa laminated in passport size.
I had to get a new passport last August, so when I entered again in September I brought my old passport. Back then the IO didn’t care for my old passport and gave it back without looking at it.
This time though, the IO did want to see my old passport and actively compared the data in my passports to each other and to the data on her screen. No further questions asked, got a DTV stamp with 180 days.
My partner got his stamp almost immediately, without any questions.
So, super easy entry once again (like all my other entries).
When arriving in Thailand on a 90-day non-O retirement visa with the intention of converting to a one-year visa, is it required to have a return flight or onward ticket?
