What is the process and timeline for obtaining a 6-month METV at the Thai Consulate in Los Angeles?
Has anyone used the same day service in Los Angeles to get a 6-month METV? Would love some advice!
Answer summary
The Thai Consulate in Los Angeles offers a same day service for obtaining a 6-month Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV). Experiences shared by users highlight that while the service can be efficient in person, road conditions like street cleaning may affect parking availability. While one user mentioned being able to collect their METV the same afternoon after submitting paperwork, timelines might vary based on the day and consulate busyness.

The LA office is an official Thai Consulate not just a service

I believe that is typical...more efficient in person than processing via mail. I did the retirement visa there recently but those take two days instead of one. Limited parking next to the LA Thai consulate but plenty of free parking in the neighborhood ... just watch the signs on Mondays or Tuesdays for no parking due to street cleaning.

I got a METV there last year. I just submitted the paperwork as normal fully expecting to get the visa the next day but I was told to come back in the afternoon the same day. I cannot say if that was typical or unusual (perhaps because it wasn't very busy the day I applied?)
