Do I need a 12-month bank statement for my first Non-O retirement extension application in Thailand?

I recently turned 50, and secured my first Non O retirement visa (3 months). Soon I need to apply for my first 12 month extension. Local expats here in Hua Hin tell me I need to get a 12 month statement for my account at Bangkok Bank (which takes a week to get). However, the official immigration documents say the the 800k only has to be in the account for 2 months prior to applying for the (first) 12 month extension. Is the 12 month bank statement actually necessary for first time retirement extension applications?

TLDR : Answer Summary
For applying for a first 12-month extension on a Non-O retirement visa in Thailand, a 12-month bank statement is not required. Instead, you only need to provide a bank statement that shows the required 800,000 Baht has been in your account for at least 2 months prior to your application. However, it is advisable to check with your local immigration office for specific requirements.

No, you don't need a 1-year statement for the first extension application. The 1-year statement is used for one of these, but neither of them is applied to you this year:

- check if you have kept the previous year's extension requirement when you took the banked money method (keep 800K for three months after granted and no less than 400K for the rest of the year)

- check the 12-month international transfer record when you are going to do with the monthly transfers method

in your case, a Bank statement for two months or from the initial visa would be sufficient. But better to check with your local immigration office in advance about how long exactly they want to see.

For the 12-month international transfer record, is there any requirement on the transfer remark needed to be printed in statement? or as long as they are international transfer ? and even if I transfer those from my own account in home town to thai bank account ?

, 12-month transfers must be able to be checked as international transfers on the Bank transaction report/log.
