Are printed bank statements from K+ banking acceptable for a one-year extension application in Thailand?

The K+ banking application (Kasikorn) enables you to print bank statements. Does anyone know if these are acceptable when applying for the first one year extension?

If not, what exactly is the bank letter that I see referred to?

Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The K+ banking application by Kasikorn enables users to print bank statements; however, these statements are not acceptable when applying for the first one-year extension in Thailand. Instead, applicants need a formal bank letter that includes a detailed transaction history for the last six months, stamped by the bank.

and on that note we are DONE, good luck to the O/P in their endeavor

they are not ๐Ÿ™

you need the "regular" (5 or 6 line) bank letter and a print out of the last 6 months of detail transaction history <- that the bank stamps for you.

Regular bank letter looks like this

I use Prachinburi immigration for my one year extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai National

I have done this four years in a row now and they always want the bank letter on the SAME day I apply as well as the bank book updated the same day

@Tom ********
that will be tricky as I have a 9am appointment.

I use the Bangkok Bank around the corner from the immigration office and they open at 8:30am and it usually takes about 20 minutes

@Henrik **********
that is NOT correct ๐Ÿ™

This is the persons FIRST yearly extension

They will NOT need a year transaction history (they really shouldn't even need the 6 month one but that can be printed while you wait at most banks)

You are correct, it can take up to 5 days to get the year print out sent from the main office to your branch so they can print it for you.

BUT

the only time you need the year detail transaction history is AFTER your first yearly extension to show that you met the seasoning requirements for the previous year when you apply for the next extension

sorry did not see this is first year but following years you will need 12 month statment from the bank

my home branch is in Bangkok. Will they generate the letter or can my local branch produce it? Apologies if I am asking too much.

@Tod ********
it is not 6 month anymore no they want 12 month and offcource the bank can only give you 12 month via their headoffice in Bangkok so this takes 7 days to do

FOR THE LAST TIME: ๐Ÿ˜•
@ Robert ****
e BOTH you and

n were getting another yearly extension on top of the extension you got last year

That's when they want the year detail transaction to show you met the previous year's seasoning requirement.

ONE final time as this is his FIRST ever yearly extension he does NOT need a year print out, he probably doesn't even need 6 months either seeing as he only has to show the funds have been in his account the past two months and his bank book probably shows that just fine. I only told him to get the 6 month print out in case he doesn't update his book often.

@Robert *****
same for me in june 2021

f you use the income method, is it not a 12 month transaction history?
Tod *********
@Barrie ************
good point though IF he was using monthly income he'd need a year transaction history to show the previous 12 months of incoming transfers. ๐Ÿ™‚

@Barrie ************
this is his FIRST yearly extension and I was going under the assumption he was using banked money method

Yes, banked money, seasoned.
Tod *********
@John ***********
then as it's your first yearly extension you'll be fine with just 6 months of the detail transaction print out. because the only seasoning requirement for you at this stage is the funds have been in the bank the last 2 months before the date you apply.

@Tod ********
Ok. Many thanks.

thank you very much.

and you'll need to update your bank book on the date you go apply for the extension to show the balance that day too.

And the letter a week or so before the visit to the Immigration Office?
Tod *********
@John ***********
Chaengwattana will let a bank letter be up to 7 days old.

You are using banked money method correct? That's the 800K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply for the extension?

Yes. Money was in in late November but I only arrived mid December and Prachinburi office seem to be telling that I have to be in country 2 months before applying for the one year extension of stay.
