I am doing my extension based on retirement tomorrow, I got a letter from my Bank today, proving I have over 800000 bht in my bank, it's been there since last June, I hadn't used my bank book for 18 months as I had been in England, so it only shows transactions over the last couple of weeks, do I need to get a bank statement to prove I have had money in my account for the last 2 months?
Thanks
TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is seeking advice on whether they need to provide a bank statement showing their funds for the last two months for their retirement visa extension application, given that they have over 800,000 baht in their account but have not updated their bank book in 18 months. Community members suggest that while a recent bank letter is important, specific statement requirements can vary based on the individual’s visa type and how long their funds have been in the account. Although some suggest providing 12 months of transaction history, others clarify that for a new application like the OP's, recent bank statements showing sufficient funds for just the past couple of months may suffice. It's recommended to update the bank book and obtain documents from the bank just prior to the immigration appointment.
