Do all 6 months of bank statements need to show a balance over 500k for Thai Visa applications?

Let's say we need 6 months of bank statements. Do all 6 sets need to be above 500k? Or only the last one.

Seems wasteful to just have 500k sitting in the checkings account... so makes sense to move some money in the last month to make it 500k, right?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for bank statements when applying for a Thai visa can vary based on the embassy or consulate where you are applying. Some consulates require a balance of 500,000 baht for each of the previous six months, while others only need a closing statement demonstrating that the balance was met at the time of application. Some applicants have successfully submitted screenshots of their accounts instead of full statements. Overall, the rules can change frequently, and it’s important to check the specific requirements for your location.

I heard that it needs to have transactions and movements on the account (like current account) and not a simple "holding" account.

Do you think they check this point in Jakarta too?

What do you all think about being refused for dtv because not enough activities on the account and transfer of 500k was made the month of the bank statement.

Can we try again in the same embassy with the same account 1, 2 or 3 months later, showing movements on it, and no evidence of the transfer because it was done before the month of bank statement i show?

I showed them my current account dating back 3 months, and my savings. Joined both files together and added a note saying my I don't keep the required amount in my current account. The savings was just the day of the export, as no activity to show. Worked fine, got approved.

But when you use evisa webpage, you're applying from an Embassy (usually the residence country Embassy).

No, attach your screenshot of your savings, and join the files together so you can add an explanation in the one upload.

They asked me for 3 months statements advising I needed to prove I had the required each month. That's silly, so I did the above, showed them 3 months of statements, and joined a shot of my separate savings and wrote on it saying I don't keep that amount in my checking account. Was fine and was approved within 12 days.

Some consulates are requiring you have a 500K baht balance for EVERY MONTH of the previous 6 months statement you show. some are not, 😕

With other Thai VIsas (I'm not sure about this one because it's so new), the balance can not drop below 500K (or whatever the particular required amount is) during the duration of the funds being held. I think it depends on where you apply.

Depends where you apply. I got mine from London and only closing statement for the day I applied was needed. I transferred the full amount of money on the same day too.

Depends on the Embassy/Consulate. Also the rules are changing fast. But yes, some of them now require 3-6 months of stable bank statements and no money added some days ago.
