Having been told that I had to request a bank statement and letter 2 weeks before required I duly turned up yesterday at Bangkok Bank in Korat to be told I had to come in on the day it was needed at Immigration. Wish they'd make their minds up.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The experience shared highlights confusion over the timing of obtaining a bank statement and letter for immigration purposes in Thailand. The individual was instructed to request these documents two weeks in advance but was later told that they needed to be obtained on the exact day of the immigration appointment. Comments from other users provide additional insights that most immigration offices accept a bank letter that is no older than 7 days, while the bank's statement or book must be updated on the day of the application. Users also point out discrepancies in the enforcement of these rules.
