Hi ! I will be getting out of the Navy in 2027. I am currently stationed in Japan.( time in 7 years ) I have a husband and an infant and looking into/planning to move to Thailand for at least a couple of years + after my tour. As I am currently active duty I am not a digital nomad at this time. I have two years to execute this move successfully. Any advice on The best Visa for us ? How far in advance to apply. Child visa ? How does that work … Tips on companies for remote work? Just looking for any advice to help me ! Thankyou 🙂
My child is 6 and I know I have to complete seperate application.
However, they ask for spouse/child to have bank account and money in it and proof of location. Is this just wording suited to the adult application or do I need these things for child? What would I use as proof of location? In the UK. Thank you.
I was approved for dtv. It was much faster than anticipated. Just wondering if I have to get a visa for my 3 year old. I’m 99% sure that as long as I have a valid dtv; he can stay in Thailand.
new to the group and would like to understand how the DTV works in terms of bringing over a spouse and child. I’ve heard that once an individual qualifies for the DTV, they can include their spouse and child in the process. Is this correct? If not, could someone clarify the steps or requirements for sponsoring family members under the DTV?
Hello. If the parent has DTV, does the 10 year child need to apply for a visa being that they are homeschooled? I am hearing the child is fine to travel with the parent and will not need a visa until 13 years old.
I am married to a Thai citizen. I have a 7 year old daughter from previous failed relationship who is currently residing in the PH.
Currently I am in Thailand under Non-Immigrant O visa and planning to go back to Philippine and bring my kid to Thailand for good.
Can you suggest to me what visa should I use aside from the Student visa? (the student visa was recommended by the Royal Thai Embassy)
>> I have a problem with student visa. I cannot get the requirements from the Sarasas school because the pre-requirement is that my kid should be able to write and read in Thai language. Therefore, I want to bring her first to Thailand and learn everything once she arrives here and enroll her to school once she is capable to read and write in Thai.
If I find a job before I go back to PH and get a working visa, would that help and can I apply for my kid the non-immigrant dependent O visa?
Anyone? Please enlighten me. I feel frustrated. Thus, inter-country adoptation will take 4 years of processing also 😭 based from google.
I'm currently on a 1 year non-o based on raising thai child visa which will end in January. This is my first year on that visa so when I got it I received 1 month "under consideration", someone from the immigration came to my place to see if everything is legit and after that I got the other 11 months stamped.
My question:
Will I get again the 1 month stamp or directly 12?
Responsible immigration is the one in Chiang Mai. I called them but they just send me around and couldn't give me a clear answer. In summer I went to the south with my kid to avoid the smoke hence my tm30 changed for a while but is now back to my initial place when I did the visa.
I’m currently holding a DTV visa and my husband is holding retirement visa. We have a daughter that turn one year old next month. She was born in Thailand.
I intended to apply for her as dependent with DTV but we couldn’t do it because I didn’t have enough 1M baht for both of us. Is there any way that I can connect my daughter with my husband visa? Or anything we can do to get her a long term visa? I have read that child is under 12 yrs old can be overstayed without a fine but we’re worried to be fool around with the rules because we will travel back and forth Thailand a lot. Thank you so much for your advice!
