Hi, we are a family with a 4 and 5 year old. I have heard of many instances where young children are issued education Visas and their parents a guardian visa each. One per child. But when I look on the Thai govt website it seems to talk about children being minimum aged 12. Does anyone know if it's possible to get visas for us all with the children being so young? We are in Chiang Mai.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question revolves around the possibility of obtaining education visas for children as young as 4 and 5 in Thailand, along with guardian visas for their parents. Community responses indicate that there is no strict minimum age for education visas as long as the children are enrolled in international schools. Parents can apply for guardian visas based on their children's education visas, initially starting with a Non-O visa from a Thai consulate and then extending it at immigration. Financial requirements for these visas include maintaining a specific minimum amount in a Thai bank account.

Our daughter started at 4 with international school. I don’t think there is minimum as long as they are enrolled

Not sure if there is a minimum age. My son started at 3.

If they attend an international school, they can get a education visa for that and then you can get a visa based on being their guardian. You first get a non-o visa from a Thai consulate, then extend at immigration. Subject to financial requirements, which currently is 500k in a Thai bank seasoned for 1 month in a individual account - or 1 million if it is a joint account. For futher extentions the money needs to be in the bank for 3 months
