After my separation we also lost our visa for Thailand by end of June π
I applied for a Worcation Visa at the Munich Consulate. Sent them all requested documents (some of them just in German). After 10 days they requested a "professional portfolio". I sent my portfolio via the platform and within 3 hours my visa was approved.
Immediately I applied with my approved visa the child visa for my 16 yr old daughter. I could not deliver a 500.000 Baht (15.000 Euro) bank account statement, because she is not 18 years old. I sent instead a sponsor letter, that I will be in charge for all costs etc.
7 days later her visa also was approved.
A big Thank you to the Munich Consulate. The did NOT just rejected like obviously other Consulats. They asked for further documents. I delivered and they approved immediately.
Also during Covid I just had outstanding experiences with the Munich Consulate. Thanks again to them! π

TLDR : Answer Summary
The author shares their experience applying for a Workation Visa at the Munich Consulate after a separation led to losing their previous visa for Thailand. They successfully submitted a professional portfolio, leading to prompt approval of their visa. They subsequently applied for a visa for their 16-year-old daughter, using a sponsorship letter in lieu of the required bank statement, which was also approved. The author expresses gratitude for the supportive response from the consulate, contrasting it with experiences reported with other consulates.
So any other embassy request to see 500,000 even for a 3 YO (in parents account obviously), but the German embassy accept parents sponsorship letter? Thatβs good news, maybe other embassies will follow.
do you Say that the 500 000thb is PER dependent ? I thought it was only for the main applicant ? Let say I want to do the visa with my husband and daughter, do they request 1 500 000 thb?
Liebe anonyme Frau. Ich bin gerade dabei auch eine Application zusammen zu stellen. Darf ich fragen wie ihr professional portfolio aussah oder aussehen sollte damit es approved wird?
