I made a large mistake by booking flights etc to Ho Chi Minh before finding out that they were a Online appointment Embassy. I (was) due to fly out March 1, for visit Embassy March 2. (due to expiring NON b, and internal renewal hiccups)

Q1. It says next available appointment is 29th March, basically 1 month away, does that seem credible that there are now 1 month waits for HCMC Embassy?

q2. Anyone had any success in politely appealing the online process and asking for an 'emergency' appointment ?

If you need a certified copy of something from your home country, but your consulate is closed, HOW do you get around that?

Notional Example: Marriage license from US, but consulate is closed and emailed me that they won’t help. I need immigration to accept home country marriage certificate so they will approve my family visa.

What are my options?
