What should I declare on my DTV application regarding employment and last port of embarkation?

Hi DTV fam! EMPLOYMENT QUESTIONS: I’m in Indonesia, applying for the soft power DTV. I have the 500k in the bank for over 3 months. I get some income from investments/dividends, but am not employed. But some $1000-3000 deposits have been made into my account in the last few months. Should I put unemployed and no income?

Also, what do they mean “last port of embarkation”? Where I’m coming from when I return to Thailand with my DTV? Or where I left from when I came to Indonesia to apply for my DTV? I think the first option, but want to be sure 😆🙏 Thanks for your help!!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is applying for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) while in Indonesia and is unsure how to fill out the employment section, particularly since they are currently unemployed but have sufficient funds in their bank account. They also seek clarification on the term "last port of embarkation" used in the application process. The community advises that declaring oneself as 'unemployed' could lead to application denial, suggesting instead to state 'self-employed' if income from investments and recent deposits are present. Additionally, it's clarified that 'last port of embarkation' refers to the last location from which the applicant departed before arriving in Thailand.

If you put unemployed chances are that your application will be denied. I apply in Jakarta and was invited to interview and had to show income beside that I had 6 months statements with much larger amount of money than need for visa. Put Self employed and if they invite for interview you will show and explain your deposits.
