Everyone, I would like to use the Soft Power option to apply for a DTV.

For the Soft Power part, I’m considering enrolling in a language school and using it for the DTV application.

A student visa only allows a 90-day stay, and the schools usually require a certain number of class hours, which seems a bit troublesome, right?

If I want to find a Thai language school in Pattaya, is that possible?

Does anyone have any recommendations for schools with good reviews and a nice environment?

Thank you all very much for your help and suggestions.

Hi,

I just spoke with 2 language schools in Pattaya and they said if you do a covid extension you can not transfer to an ED visa in country. I have not gotten a covid extension yet, I am due to extend my TR visa for 30 days in early June

also the total cost with classes for visa, extensions and class for 9 months was 49,000thb. Any suggestions on other options or cheaper schools?

Thanks

Hello :)

Wanted to ask if people here had good experiences with the “language school option”?

Which one is the cheapest/ best?

If I understood correctly, any way I need to get out of Thailand to get the first 3 months, then-additional 3 months till the end of the 1st year I can extend at Thai embassy for 5,000 baht every time.

So I should expect around 50k for the 1 year visa.

1) what happens after the 1st year is over?

2) anyone can recommend any other and easier way ?

I have Polish and Israeli passport.
