Can I apply for a DTV in Thailand by enrolling in a language school as part of the Soft Power option?

Everyone, I would like to use the Soft Power option to apply for a DTV.

For the Soft Power part, I’m considering enrolling in a language school and using it for the DTV application.

A student visa only allows a 90-day stay, and the schools usually require a certain number of class hours, which seems a bit troublesome, right?

If I want to find a Thai language school in Pattaya, is that possible?

Does anyone have any recommendations for schools with good reviews and a nice environment?

Thank you all very much for your help and suggestions.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about applying for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand using enrollment in a language school under the Soft Power initiative. There are concerns regarding the 90-day limitation of the student visa and the requirements for class hours. Users caution that Thai language is not an approved Soft Power activity and suggest looking for DTV approved institutions that offer activities like Muay Thai instead. They also note the scrutiny of attendance at language schools for visa purposes.

You’d better choose another activity, as language courses are usually tied to an ED visa. In the rare cases when it is approved, you may still be subject to attendance checks as language schools are now scrutinised.

Thai language is not an approved soft power activity. You may find some DTV approved institutions that do both language and for instance Muay Thai
