What should I put as the 'Place of Issue' when applying for a Thai DVT with a UK passport?

I am currently in the process of applying for my DVT through freelance work. I have a UK passport, I am from London. Can someome please advise what the "Place of Issue" would be? I've seen a few post about this being the cause of some people's application being cancelled. Any help appreciated 🙏🏻

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 'Place of Issue' for your Thai DVT application should refer to where your passport was issued. As a UK passport holder, it's generally safe to state 'United Kingdom' as your place of issue. Users recommend checking your passport for specific information, as inaccuracies can lead to application rejections. Most respondents confirm that using 'UK' has worked well for them in similar situations.

On the USA passport, what is listed under section "Authority". Mine says "United States Department of State"

Just say uk as that’s where you’d have got ur passport from and tbh if for some reason you got it abroad, still put uk as I saw someone got rejected for having a random country as their place of issue

Place of issues means where you got your passport. It says it on your passport. For example, I am from Belgium but I got my last passport in bangkok so place of issue in my case is bangkok and not Brussels or Belgium.. look at your passport!

Many people have had their applications rejected at some embassies when they entered what was under Authority’ so be careful. I think to be safe you should enter “United Kingdom “
