ORIGINAL POSTERUK citizen and currently looking to get a METV but I'm currently in Taipei and need a new passport (no whole page left).
I've heard I can fly to Bangkok and get a new passport then use that new passport to get a METV. Which country would be easiest to travel to from Bangkok to apply for that METV?

And your current passport will be linked to a new passport by Thai Immigration upon presentation on arrival. Facial recognition software and fingerprinting now in use.

Perth Australia is the ONLY possibility for you to get a METV. None available in SE Asia. Or return to your home country to apply.

you better check with Brisbane to see if they will issue a METV to a non Austrian resident. Perth does for some nations.The ********
Or Brisbane probably closer from Taiwan.
