DTV Visa - appplication KL

It took me 6 working days to get my visa.

I applied Tuesday, they asked for additional documents Friday late afternoon, I delivered yesterday afternoon, approval today!

NOTE:

They still require you to go to the embassy of the country, where your employers company is located to authenticate your contract + company's registration/business license.

DO THAT before you send the documents to the Thai Embassy and it save you time.

As this requirement was off their website, I thought the online process changed that - but no, they still require it!

The US embassy let me in without an upfront booked appointment, but I would not count on this.

I am positive, if I'd delivered the US Embassy authentication letter straight on Friday, I'd have the visa already on Monday.

Hello everyone. I have an American friend and his legal spouse from Japan have been living here more than 10 years on retirement visa and follower visa. They have been submitting the original US marriage certificate to the immigration ever since for his spouse to qualify for a follower visa. All of sudden this year , the immigration doesn't accept foriegn document. They request the US embassy authenticated the marriage license for them. Unluckily the embassy says they have no power to authenticate any vital records at all.

In shorts, immigration needs embassy legalization on a paper work, but the embassy refuses to do so. Have you all got any experiences or ideas to suggest us to work this out? Thanks indeed.

Hi all - I’m unable to travel back to the US at the moment because of COVID. The US Embassy just started issuing letters again for an extension so I’m planning to take this to immigration to request a 30 day extension past the Sept. 26 amnesty date. I’m wondering if anyone else here has done the same and if so, do you know what documents are necessary to present to immigration? Thanks!
