Hi, I applied for a DTV from Mumbai, India. Received a 6 month multiple entry tourist visa instead? What does this mean? Can I reapply for a DTV while this visa is still valid?

Tourist visa cancelled due to incorrect address, will this be a problem going visa exempt?

I know that it is all down to the immigration officer but I would like to get this groups opinion. My partner is Japanese and currently in Japan. No prior visa runs. She will fly with me (LTR visa holder) to Thailand for 45 days holidays on Tuesday. We are not yet married.

With all the news on reducing to 30 days on visa exempt, we decided to play safe and apply for a single entry tourist visa to ensure she gets 60 days. Now turns out she hasn't updated her Japanese driving licence and id yet after moving recently and bank statement address/visa application address do not match driving licence address.

Embassy just requested driving licence from her and I am sure the application will be cancelled once submitted. I hope just cancelled, not declined.

Do people in this group think (I know, nothing is certain) that she will get issues then flying just visa exempt? We will print out return flights, hotels, THB 20k cash in the pocket.

I will be with her. Too late to apply again and the ticket is non refundable business class, would be shame to lose this.

Subject: DTV Medical (Pending) - 3 Month Fund History Question

Profile: Filipina, Unemployed, Sponsored by American Partner (Retired Visa holder).

Category: DTV Medical (Dental Treatment Plan).

Agent: Thai Agent.

Timeline & Issue:

Dec 19, 2025: Funds (1M PHP) completed in my personal bank account.

Dec 25, 2025: Applied via Agent (submitted Dental plan, Relationship proof, & Sponsor’s bank docs).

Jan 22, 2026: Status became 'Pending/Paused'.

The Reason: Embassy is strictly requiring a 3-month bank statement history of the 500k THB equivalent in my own account. My funds were only 1 month old during review.

Plan:

I am currently in Thailand as a tourist. I will fly back to the Philippines and re-apply on March 18, 2026, once my funds reach the 3-month mark.

Questions:

Has any Filipina/sponsored applicant been approved after being "Pending" for the 3-month rule?

Is March 18 a safe date to re-apply, or should I wait longer?

I am a US citizen and if I enter on a Visa on arrival can I change/upgrade to a Multi-entry Visa while I am in Thailand? I ask because I am having issues with the online e-Visa application for multi-entry in regard to my residency and the online application has no ability to offer notes/messages or upload multiple docs so doing it in person would be easier. Would an agent be able to assist if need be?

I submitted my DTV and said no the question of if I ever applied for Visa before.

Apparently I do during Covid 5 years ago and I completely forgot about that occasion. Am I screwed?
