Laos e visa pretty much just burned me for 1800 baht. They sent me an email asking for my name again, lol. Then they said they couldn't find my application number and or passport number. It screenshot everything and entered it multiple times with no luck. Non sense.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Several users shared their experiences with the Laos e-visa application process, highlighting a range of issues including difficulties in tracking their application, lack of communication from authorities, and concerns over the legitimacy of application websites. One user reported being asked for their name again despite having submitted it correctly multiple times, while others noted delays in receiving approvals. It was recommended to ensure that applications are made through the official government website to avoid inflated prices or scams.
Need to make sure its an official government website. There are other sites offering the same service and normally at inflated prices. I have using the official Cambodian online e visa service for years and i have never encountered any problems.

Only benefit to doing e-visa verses visa on arrival is you get a smaller stamp/sticker in passport, time at border clearance is the same
that's actually an interesting idea. I do have proofπ€π€π€π€£π€£π€£

I did it beginning of Dec. $52 (1800 thb) is the price for evisa. They say give them 3 working days, i did mine 3 days out. Their online tracker doesn't work, kept telling me it couldn't find my application. I was sitting at the gate to board my flight to Vietiane when it popped in my email
Mine did..at the last moment lol. Not sure how much time you have, but it should. Like i said i applied at the last possible day. You can always do visa on arrival for $40, but understand you don'r wanna just hlgive them 1800 baht
