I don't know if anyone in this group has any regular contact with the Thai Immigration authorities that can provide some feedback regarding their new Online Visa application form.
I'm currently trying to apply for a SETV from the UK. I've experienced the following issues.
1/The site is slow and often when one clicks continue to the next page the application crashes.
2/uploading supporting documentation is a real problem as each uploaded document, must be less than 500kb in size.
Obviously most photos or scans are not of such a small file size and so this takes some know how and time to resize within an app or computer program.
While I understand the need for the files to be kept small, could the application website not be set up to automatically reduce/resize a larger uploaded document or photo to the required file size. This is what happens on other online forms for visas for other countries and for many online applications in general.
If this request could be passed on, it would make life much easier.
The previous paper application was a breeze in comparison but progress is progress!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual shares challenges faced while applying for a Thai Single Entry Tourist Visa (SETV) online from the UK, including slow website performance and difficulties with uploading supporting documents due to size limitations. They suggest implementing automatic resizing for file uploads to improve the process, contrasting it with the ease of the previous paper application.
