My DTV was approved in Laos.

Hi everyone,

I applied for my DTV (Soft Power – Muay Thai) through an agency called Sabai Pattaya. They asked me to travel to Laos for the application.

I arrived on March 9, and they submitted my visa application right away. My interview was scheduled for March 20. They mentioned this was a bit longer than usual, but it seems to be the new standard.

In the meantime, I traveled around Laos.

The agency picked me up from the airport on March 9 to take photos and handle the payment. They also picked me up on the morning of the interview and prepared all my documents, as well as briefing me on what to expect.

The interview itself took about 10 minutes, and I received approval just a few minutes later.

After approval, the agency arranged my transport back to the airport (I was lucky enough to get a flight the same day). They also arranged an agent in Bangkok who was waiting for me upon arrival. He took me to a separate officer, and my passport was stamped immediately.

I had previously been denied entry in early March, which is why I applied for the DTV visa.

Overall, this was a really good experience, and I would definitely recommend this company. I understand every situation is different, but they truly did everything they could. They stayed in contact with me throughout the entire 10 days and even assisted me during my travels in Laos. A true blessing.

Good luck everyone 🙏 Sawadee!

Has anyone used Issa Compass to apply for the DTV as self employed? What was your experience with them?

And before all of you salty expats start shaming me: I’m genuinely curious.

Please only leave a comment about your experience using Issa Compass.
