I will be applying for the Non O retirement visa from Ireland. I know that gives me 90 days when I get to Thailand to apply for 1 year extension.

Is there a timescale on the non O.

I am planning on retiring next April.

This morning I went to apply for a re entry permit to travel in October, however I was refused because I didn't have a TM 30, ( Phuket immigration) I don't recall having needed one before when applying for a re entry permit, interesting because apparently you can apply for a re entry permit at the Airport with only your passport, passport photo and copy of passport pages, anyone had experience with this situation and can update me on this predicament please. 🙏😊

Probably a simple, dumb question . . .

I am arriving next month on a 60 day visa exempt status. Our house is in my sister-in-law’s name. Is she required to report my arrival/stay at the local immigration office?

Thanks.

I have two questions… (1) I just received my Evisa from the Los Angeles consulate. Last year when I received my non O married to a Thai it said length of stay was 99 days. This year there is no length of stay on the Evisa.

(2) last year we never reported that I was staying at her house, is this really a requirement, and if so…how can she do it?

Thanks.

Hi,

Hope you're all well.

I'm currently in Bangkok. The Visa exemption stamp on my passport says 17th November (60 days). I will then need to go to a local Immigration Office to extend for another 30 days if I want to stay longer. Is this correct?

Would you be able to provide suggestion on the best/fastest office to go too?

I’m currently staying in Chatuchak area.

Thank you! 🙏

I am currently in Thailand under the visa exemption, and my exemption stamp is set to expire in three days. I would like to extend my stay but I do not have a TM30. Since arriving in Thailand, I have been staying with a friend, and I was unaware that a TM30 was required.

Is there any possibility for me to extend my stay at this point, or will I need to exit the country? This is my first time attempting to extend a visa exemption, so I am unfamiliar with the process.

I acknowledge that I should have researched this more thoroughly beforehand, and I appreciate any guidance or advice you can offer.

Thank you in advance.

In case it helps anyone. Samut Prakan immigration (which is now located in the newly rennovated Pak Nam office) accepts the following documents for 60 day extension based on marriage/family.

Copies of the following all signed and notorised:

- marriage certificate (in case of wife)

- birth certificate (in case of dependant/child)

- tambien baan of wife/dependant

- ID card of wife/dependant

- all passport pages with ID and stamps

-TM 30 Receipt of notification copy (make sure it's date-stamped from when you last entered the country, they flagged this with me and I got a telling off for not reporting 24 hours within entering the country)

-1900 baht

-wife/child in person as they want to take pictures of you as a couple/family

-passport photo for one of the three forms you have to fill out

Not needed contrary to other reports/offices:

* Kor ror 22, you don't need any copy of this, whether it is old or newly updated.

I want to buy a new scooter and of course have to get immigration’s approval to give to the dealer. Since I own my condo here what do I show immigration in lieu of a tm-30? Or could I just get my juristic office to verify my residence? All input is welcomed.
