TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the TM30 requirement for traveling within Thailand. While it seems that many local immigration offices are relaxing the enforcement of the TM30 rule, especially in areas outside of Phuket, it is advised to check with your local immigration office for the most accurate and current requirements.

The Immigration Division 6 (Phuket and the south) has always run like it's own little kingdom.
It is true there has been NO official rule change stating that a TM30 is not required for travel inside thailand. BUT with that being said, the sensible immigration offices (and there ARE many) are changing how they ENFORCE the rule and waiving any penalty or requirement to re-file a new TM30 when you travel inside thailand.
As people said, AND as I said in that post, CHECK WITH YOUR IMMIGRATION OFFICE to see what they require.

Always check with your local immigration office. Many no longer require the TM30 for in country travels. Obviously Phuket is still requiring it...๐ข
