TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, the TM 30 form is still active and required in Thailand for registering your current address. This regulation has been in place since 1975, and it requires that you register your address within 24 hours of arrival at that address. You can submit the TM 30 form online or via a mobile app.

if you require it but don't have it, immigrations will fine you, not the landlord.

You're mis-remembering a bit ๐Ÿ˜ฎ the responsibility has always been on YOU to have the receipt (no matter who filed the TM30).

If you're in a hotel they file for you and can print you a copy.

here's the two mobile apps for the TM30 online program called Section 38

I guess you mean if you still have your address registered within 24 hours after arrival at that address. Then the answer is yes, still the same law since 1975 no changes.

The form to do this is indeed named TM30 or can be done online or with an app on mobile phone.
