Hi, my friend had an issue with the Muay Thai visa. Does anyone have any suggestions or any specific requirements for Chinese applicants that might help with the application process?

My friend has applied for it at Thai embassy in Beijing and they do not provide Muay thai visa for Chinese people right now.

Your insights would be really helpful. Thanks

Hi everyone, thank you for helping in advance, me and my wife have been trying to get a Thai e-visa (tourist), so we sent in our application (separately) 6 days ago to the Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing. I'm a 38-year-old Hungarian, with a Chinese residence permit, since my wife is a Chinese citizen. As far as I knew Thai e-visas application should last about 5-10 working days, and because I'm not applying from my home country it might take a month or so, but I was hoping we would get it faster. We booked our flight for September 13, thinking that 5-6 weeks should be enough time. Well. today the embassy in Beijing got back to both of us, sending me an e-mail in which they said that they started processing my visa, and "this might take approximately eight weeks". Did any of you have such a long waiting time to get your visa done? I'm guessing it's because I'm in China and there are tons of people here now who are trying to get to Thailand, or it might have to do with the fact that I'm not a Chinese citizen, or is it normal that I've received such a message and after all I might get it within a few weeks?

And our fun doesn't end here, because they cancelled my wife's visa altogether, saying "There is an incorrect information on passport information in your online application (Wrong name), hence your online application has been cancelled." The only possible thing that we can think of is that we mixed up her family name with her first name, but unfortunately there's no way we could check it now. Did anyone receive a similar message before? I'm guessing there's no way to continue with her application now, and we have to start from scratch losing the application fee, but I'm curious if anyone had similar issues before, and how were they solved? My wife sent an e-mail to the embassy and we're planning to call them tomorrow (they only have visa inquiry phone service between 3-4pm each weekday), but I'm not confident we would be able to reach them. And now I'm getting quite worried that we wouldn't be able to travel on September 13.

Thanks again for any info!

Hello, I’m a Chinese national applying for an EDU visa at the Chinese embassy in Beijing. I just have a couple questions, I hope someone can help me out.

1. I’m required to have a minimum of 50,000rmb in my bank account. This isn’t a problem however someone told me that I need to have that amount in my account two months prior to applying for the visa or I need to have the money frozen in my account for two months. Can anyone shed some light as to whether or not this is true? Am I able to just show a bank statement with 50,000rmb. This would be a lot easier for me to do.

1. I’ve heard the wait time is anywhere between one week and two months. I will receive my paper work the beginning of September and am hoping to book my plane ticket for October 5th as that is when my apartment lease is up. Am I able to give a bribe to the embassy worker to speed up the process? When I applied for a tourist visa for Thailand a few months ago I went through an agent and they said they were able to expedite the application. I’m wondering if this is a possibility.

If anyone is able to help me out with these questions I’d greatly appreciate it.
