How many days in advance can I renew my one year extension for Thai child care visa ?

1 year non imm o extension experience.

Just to let you know. From today at Chiang Mai immigration.

I have an expired non o child visa from the states. On amnesty now. I would need to cross the border every 90 days.

Today I went with the mother.

I DIDN’T need the court document that he’s my son. I just needed the paper from the government office stating I take care of him with 2 witnesses. Of course my name is on the birth certificate.

With passport photos of myself and a few pics with the family at the house, the usual copies and forms, I received a stamp that I need to return on Oct 9 for them to put my year stamp. The year will be from Sept 26 they told me.

In 10 days they do a home visit.

Was very easy to do.

Best thing, now I can do 90 day report here. No more border crossing.
