TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers flying from Vietnam to Thailand on VietJet may be asked to show proof of an onward flight before boarding. Experiences shared by recent travelers confirm that while VietJet checks for an onward flight, immigration in Thailand may not require it for entry if other conditions are met. Some travelers suggest purchasing a refundable ticket as a workaround.

1. Buy and print a refundable ticket the same day you're flying.

2. Land in Thailand.

3. Cancel ticket.

4. Success.

Flew from Danang to BKK last sunday with them, they asked me to show the a proof of onward flight and noted the booking ref. Immigration officer didn't ask for nothing and just stamped me with the visa exemption for 30 days (FR passport)

I did on Bamboo and yes they check everything, also outbound flight. It's easy just purchase a dummy ticket online

Saw a comment from someone yesterday that they were asked for one, but can’t recall if that was a recent flight.
