Doesnt even need to be a air ticket I used a train ticket from the boarder of hat yai to malaysia, was accepted no problem and the ticket cost only a few quid.
qatar are absolute cunts mate, still haggling me for a refund after covid, first they insisted I can only have a replacement flight, then it was they would only pay the tax as a refund. only recently they are prepared to refund me the money i paid for a flight they cancelled. Sorry going slightly off topic but yes their cunts.

Just use Skyscanner or Kayak or any search engine to book a cheap one way outbound flight. I just booked for myself from Bangkok to Phnon phen cost me £30
