I am applying for a non immigrant Ed Visa with single entry as a German cititzen. I got a list of documents i Need to ger the Visa including "Copy of flight confirmation". My question is: do i Need a Return flight or is an onward flight enough as i am wanting to travel trough Asia after my stay in Thailand.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a non-immigrant ED visa in Thailand, a flight confirmation is required. Many applicants ask whether a return flight is necessary or if an onward flight suffices, especially if traveling through Asia afterwards. It is generally acceptable to provide evidence of onward travel to another destination once your ED visa period is completed, but you should verify specific requirements with the Thai Embassy or Consulate where you are applying.

Where are you applying for the Ed Visa?

How many months have you been in Thailand in 2019?

It says copy of flight confirmation. It does not ask for return ticket.

But the airline may ask for one before allowing you to fly to Thailand.

A ticket departing Thailand to another SE Asia city should be OK.

There are cheap tickets to Vietnam as an example.

Meet the requirements of the Thai Embassy or Consulate where you apply. A flight out to other city after Ed Visa completed should be OK.

thanks for your answer. So what you saying is that a flight Into Thailand should be enough and i Dont Need to provide a flight Back/onward flight when applying for the Visa?

I will Check with my embassy once they get Back from their Holidays.
