Flying out the day after my 90 day report is due. Should I still make the report? If not, will there be a fine at the airport?

Hi folks ,

If staying with Thai friends in their home does the owner need to go immigration to fill in a TM30 form and lodge it ?

If they don’t lodge the tm 30 and you moved somewhere else what trouble could that cause ; surely The owner couldn’t be fined if there is no record of your stay ?

Thanks

Anyone know what happens if you leave the country (with no overstay) without having done any 90 day reports during your one year stay?

Just a heads up.....They fined 4 residents and apparently returning for someone else.

Dear Co-owners,

FYI

According to imigration visited at Circlr 2 to Inspect foreigners who do not report a place of residence (tm 30.)

Imigration has requested to check with many Condo in Ratchatawee District area. For our Condo has requested for 16 rooms and proceed to notify a fine for who has not informed the place of accommodation.

Best regards and apologize for any inconveneince.

Hi everyone, I will go to immigration to do visa extension in bangkok tomorrow, in concern of Tm30 my landlord told me that he is working on it, but if he is not getting it approved in time, am I still be able to do my extension while do the TM30 myself at immigration?

If so will I need to pay the 800B fine myself?

Big thanks in advance

**

So immigration officer gave me some documents, said for the landlord, and I got my extension.

Is completely possible that is 4:30 pm they don't care to waste more time, since I think there are 50+ more after me.

BANGKOK ONLY TM.30 UPDATE..

Okay, I was out at Chaengwattana on Thursday morning (like I am almost every thursday) AND they have a completely new section devoted ONLY to people filing TM.30 forms.

Previously they were done in section J, but now they have a new area section B with two desks pounding out TM.30 receipts.

The fine for failure to report within 24 hours of taking up residence is 800baht. In order to self file a TM.30 you need the blue house book listing of the owner, the thai i/d card of the owner, your lease and a filled out TM.30 form.

I would imagine (although I have no proof) that seeing as they just created a new section ONLY for TM.30 reporting that bangkok IS going to be getting on the band wagon as far as starting to enforce this policy.

I would suggest anyone who is on yearly extensions to just suck it up pay the 800baht fine and go self file a TM.30. There is no telling if/when it's gonna be mandatory to have the receipt to do anything out there (like it is at other immigration offices).

I am not posting this to scare anyone, I am posting this to share information only.. You can file a TM.30 in person, you can mail it in and you can do it online (if you can read thai and join the online program).

Just a heads up on Khon Kaen, Yesterday when I was at immigration a guy's girlfriend was fined 1600 bhat for not reporting he was staying with her. He was on a visa exempt and was extending it. When the girlfriend said he was staying at her place,

The officer automatically fined her.
