TLDR : Answer Summary
The fine for not completing a 90-day report in Thailand is primarily 2,000 THB, regardless of how many days late you are. There are mentions of fines being higher, such as 20,000 THB, but those may be for overstays or specific circumstances. Generally, the current practice involves issuing a stamp in the passport for late fines, and most discussions suggest a consistent penalty of 2,000 THB, unless other issues complicate the situation.

Why not do you've had plenty of time ?

do they stamp your passport for 90 day report or is that not needed?
Trevor ******
Ok so for normal 90 day report they don't have to stamp your passport.... That's good to no
in the past we would pay this or 1,000 without receipt but seems they not
making enough now and reverting to serious practise

the fine is a constant 2000baht when you go to file the next 90 day report. it can only go up IF you are arrested for something else and the find out you didn't do a 90 day report. In that case it can be up to a 5000baht fine AND 200baht a day until you're caught up on it BUT again that's ONLY if you're arrested for something else.

David Broadfoot. Still a long way short of the 20,000 stated previously
in chiang mai, penalty was usually 1900 baht-- and it was on a paper receipt small doc attached to a page in my passport , indicating when next 90 is due. 20,000 sounds like fine for overstay??
