TLDR : Answer Summary
If you forget to file your 90-day report in Thailand, the maximum fine you would face is 2,000 baht, regardless of how late you are. Comments indicate that there is a 7-day grace period after the due date, but failure to report can lead to a flat fee fine. Discussions clarify that this fine applies to the 90-day report and not to visa overstays, which have different regulations and penalties. Overall, the community reassures that it is a manageable issue, with people sharing their experiences of paying the fine without facing severe consequences.

I had that happen once. I suddenly discovered I was late with my 90 report. Very late! Over a month late! I had visions of the Monkey House in my future!
I shot right down there and tried to prepare a story, any story, that would spare me what I thought might happen. It was late on a Friday afternoon, almost closing time when I made it in there. The guy behind the desk was sitting back and scrolling absentmindedly through his phone when I sat down. I handed over my Passport and began babbling whatever excuse I was attempting.
And then mid-sentence I stopped. As I watched, the guy opened my Passport and without even looking at the date or anything else, he plucks out the page with my old report and threw it away! He stapled the new one in there and I was out the door quicker than the ink could dry!
no problem i have a great retirement i can pay every how much money they won't

They will be quite happy to fine you 2000 bht , don’t worry they won’t threaten to deport you , I think they welcome the odd fine , missed mine once about 5-6 years ago , “ I’m so sorry “ etc , no problem 2000 please 😉
no issue if you’re only a few weeks over. After 1 week you can’t do it online & have to show up in person (with 2K baht cash) and manually fill in the forms.
Can’t speak to several months missing your 90 day report, but a few weeks should be a ‘routine paperwork’ situation. (I missed by a month last year and there was no issue … the officer even filled in my form while I scooted across the street to the ATM for 2K baht)
