TLDR : Answer Summary
If you file your 90-day report within 7 days of the due date, there is no fine. However, if you are 8 days or more late, a flat fine of 2,000 baht applies, regardless of how many additional days late you are. There is a minimum fine of 2,000 baht at the immigration office, and the higher fines (up to 5,000 baht) mentioned apply only if you are arrested for another reason and it is discovered that you are not complying with the reporting requirement.

's comment about the fine for failure to file a 90 day report being up to 5000baht.

This is how that works. IF you are over 7 days late on a 90 day report and go to file at the immigration office the fine cannot be more than 2000baht NEVER EVER.

In order to get fined the 5000baht (plus the 200baht a day for every day you're late until you file again) you need to be ARRESTED for something else. and have them find out you don't have a current 90 day report.

There is no way you can be fined more than 2000 baht at the immigration office.

This is the english from the 90 day online website that clearly states the 5000baht is only able to be fined IF you're arrested.

You can file a 90 day report up to 7 days after the due date with no fine. On the 8th day you get a 2000baht fine and that's the fine whether you're 8 days late or 8 months late
