What are the consequences if my friend has missed their 90-day immigration reporting in Thailand?

asking for a friend who isn't on FB. For some reason he thought 90 day reporting had been put on hold. He has therefore not done it for a while, so what does this mean he needs to do? Will he be given a fine or anything worse

Same fine regardless how late you are. So, if you've already missed your date cutoff, just forget about it until you need something from immigration next time.
